It’s bedtime, and the Grandkids are not tired. Nan and Pop offer to tell them a story, but they are too old for that nonsense. However, Nan and Pop tell stories a little differently than most.
In a flash, the Grandkid’s bedroom transforms, and they find themselves on the set of television’s prime-time game show, Story Time Showdown!
Hosted by the charismatic, and sometimes absent-minded, Toni Barber-Blacksheep, Nan, Pop and the two Grandkids each get a chance to tell two stories in the hopes of becoming the evening’s Greatest Storyteller.
Story Time Showdown is an original musical, performed by the Grade 3-6 students from Epsom Primary School. With eight original songs depicting moments from a range of classic stories, it will be a night of laughs and surprises for everyone.

Meaning ‘gather together’ or ‘meeting place’ in the language of the local Dja Dja Wurrung people, Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre rises majestically from what was once the Sandhurst Gaol.
