It’s taken 30 years and it’s definitely been worth the wait. Dr Norman Swan presents his first book, So You Think You Know What’s Good For You?, answering a huge range of common questions and revealing science-based evidence about what we need to know for positive health and wellbeing.

Norman Swan’s clear, no-nonsense, engaging style as a broadcaster and investigative journalist is renowned. When COVID-19 took hold, it was Dr Swan who stepped up to answer questions and cover the key issues. His daily Coronacast podcast went out to millions.

“No one’s got time to waste on stuff that doesn’t matter, is wrong or isn’t focused on your needs,” he says. “Our minds have been filled with things to worry about from insomnia to screen addiction, to guilt about not eating a paleo diet to when will my eggs clap out and when will his sperm, to what really can make us live longer better? My aim is to you to worry less and give you the information that’ll allow you to make sensible decisions, whether you’re 25 or 75.”

Norman Swan will be hosted by Robyn Lindsay, Executive Director Clinical Operations at Bendigo Health. Join them for an hour of sparkling conversation and well-earned wisdom. It might just change your life!

So You Think You Know What’s Good For You? by Dr Norman Swan is published by Hachette. Books will be available for sale at the venue and for signing following the event. Bendigo Writers Festival thanks Bendigo Health for their support.
