Welcome to the 3rd Bendigo Chamber Music Festival! Having just managed to squeeze a sold-out festival in between lockdowns in 2021, we’re aiming for a smoother ride this time, and together with our BCMF artist family we’ve been able to engage some stellar new talent to make the 2022 festival a true celebration of live music, for live audiences, in Bendigo’s beautiful venues – so good to be back.
Budding superstars Chloe Lankshear, Grace Clifford and Charlotte Miles bring their youthful energy to the table, while David Elton, Sulki Yu, Amir Farid, Donald Nicholson and Stephen King belong to the royalty of their respective instruments: a huge warm welcome to these BCMF first-timers! Of course the festival is not the festival without Sophie, Natsuko, Tobi and Daniel, all of whom join us once again for these special few days.
Gala evenings, intimate recitals, the popular Dusk Series – chamber music Happy Hours – and this year a festive baroque element to some of our concerts all await you. There is plenty to both discover and enjoy in the hugely varied repertoire throughout the week.
We are also delighted to continue the tradition of the Community Concert in the Sacred Heart Cathedral, with the Bendigo Chamber Choir, as well as hosting the master classes and education program which are so important to us.
Together with stars of Australia’s music scene, we are looking forward immensely to sharing music, food, wine and conversation with you, once again in beautiful Bendigo.
