The Beggars present this new production of Australian Songbook with tremendous style and skill.
It’s a show full of songs and stories from our history, school days, the telly, the bush, the radio, the road and our hearts
There is even a suggestion or two for our new national anthem. These great Aussie songs range from folk classics and huge 1960s pop hits to The Beggars own songs.
They are all treasures and part of our Australian Songbook. The Beggars are multi instrumentalist Stuart Day, double bassist Quinton Dunne and Australian songbird Renee Donaghey. Together they achieve a stunning vocal harmony blend.
They made four tours of Europe before the Australian Songbook Vol. 1 CD launched them on the Australian touring circuit in 2011.
“The best Australian vocal band since The Seekers” Normie Rowe
